Kenneth R. Young


Biography
Kenneth R. Young is a biogeographer who is specialized in biological diversity and global changes. After graduating in Ecology, Ethology and Evolution from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, he earned an M.A. from the University of Florida at Gainesville and a Ph.D. in Geography from the University of Colorado at Boulder. For his doctoral thesis he examined the dynamics of the mountain forest’s upper limit at the Río Abiseo National Park (in Peru). He is currently a full professor at the Geography Department of the University of Texas at Austin. He has published more than 150 scientific works.
