Heinz Plenge is a wildlife photographer and conservationist who helps rural communities protect and at the same time take advantage of their natural resources, especially in those areas where there is eco-tourism potential. He has made more than a hundred photographic expeditions throughout Peru and has put together a personal archive of more than 150,000 photographs. He has done more than thirty photographic exhibitions in Europe, Asia, North America, Central America and South America. His pictures have been published in the most prestigious magazines, such as National Geographic, GEO, BBC Wildlife, Natural History, WWF Magazine and others. Currently he works with the management of the Chaparrí ecological Reserve in Lambayeque, Peru. He has published seven photographic books.
